When midfielder Tim Farley spotted fellow mid Doug Hodson on a minute 55 corner kick vs. Sea Town United, FC Spare Tire had recorded its 100th all-time in division 3.
FCST players were recently polled to provide thoughts on just who would put in the milestone 600th goal.
The correct guesser was to receive a $50 gift certificate to adidas.com; in the event of a tie, the goal-scorer would have drawn the name of the recipient by drawing.
Players felt a third of the team had a chance at the goal, with a third of those votes going to 10th all-time team scoring leader Matt Loesch!
But forward Isaiah Harris threw a curve ball into the contest by showing up out of the blue to put in a third vs. previously unbeaten in seven Vipers FC. Harris, who had been and still is called away from Sunday games to work duty, stepped onto the field after about 15 minutes upon his arrival, and scored his beaut into a nearly open net with eight minutes to play.
